Long Branch's now famous redevelopment initiative, formerly known as
the Long Branch Pier, Pier Village is a mix of residential units and
commercial redevelopment aimed to attract year-round activity and
nightlife. Set on a 10-acre piece of property bordered by Laird
Street and Melrose Terrace between Ocean Avenue and Ocean Boulevard,
the development is made up of 320 rental apartments and 100,000 square
feet of retail space.
The retail area will be comprised of 40 retail units, including;
McLoone's of Sea Bright, opening its second restaurant
Its Greek to Me of Holmdel, a breakfast and lunch cafe
The Turning Point of Holmdel and Little Silver, a breakfast and lunch cafe
Stewarts, a casual dining cafe
Rocky Mountain, a candy store
Ladies Workout Express, a women's fitness chain
Kidegories of Shrewsbury, a children's gift, accessory and furniture store
The Island Trading Company, a men and women's boutique store
Other potential retail stores in the works are Gold's Gym, a wine
store, a day spa, and various apparel and home furnishing stores.
Another highlight of Pier Village is the recreational and social
activities constantly in development, including live theater, concerts,
farmers markets, arts & crafts exhibits, food festivals, and
holiday activities with ice skating, horse-drawn carriages, and
decorations.
Rental units are constantly in high demand, because who wouldn't want
to live, work, shop and be entertained all in the heart of the Jersey
Shore!
